At UN, Pakistan urges revamping of commodity-dependent developing countries to boost earnings – Press Note issued by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting

Islamabad, April 01, 2022 (PPI-OT):At the United Nations, Pakistan has called for revamping of commodity-dependent developing countries’ economies to increase their earnings. These views were expressed by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Aamir Khan, while speaking on behalf of the “Group of 77” developing countries and China, during an interactive dialogue on “commodities” convened by the UN General Assembly President.

The Pakistani envoy said the developing countries look forward to implementing projects with development partners that will help them to diversify their economies, improve value addition and commodity sectors into major sources of growth and sustainable development.
