Asta Muhammad: In response to concerns over potential monsoon floods, local officials are accelerating efforts to strengthen and finalize the district’s drainage system improvements to protect the city and its residents.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Ramzan Ishtiaq, under the directive of Deputy Commissioner Jalil Ahmed, inspected the ongoing drainage projects in Khanpur district. The initiatives, overseen by Executive Engineer Irrigation Drainage Mudassar Zafar Khosa, are crucial for preventing the overflow of sewer water into the Kirthar Canal, a situation that currently poses a significant risk to Asta Muhammad City. The local administration is urging swift completion of these critical infrastructure projects to mitigate the threat of floods and ensure public safety during the upcoming rainy season.
