New Delhi, August 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): Apparently miffed at being denied entry into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a local hospital in Lucknow with her shoes on, city Mayor, Sushma Kharakwal, reportedly resorted to bulldozer action against the hospital.

The incident occurred when doctors asked the mayor to remove her shoes before entering the ICU of the hospital.

Upon her visit to the hospital’s ICU, the mayor was asked by doctors to adhere to hygiene protocols by removing her shoes. This seemingly straightforward request quickly escalated into a heated disagreement between the mayor and the hospital administration.

Mayor Sushma Kharakwal’s ICU visit was centred on Suren Kumar, a retired soldier from the Army brigade of the municipal corporation. Suren Kumar is undergoing treatment at the Vinayak Medicare private hospital in Thana Bijnaur, Lucknow.
