Islamabad: In a recent meeting with the Federal Public Service Commission, Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the need for more inclusive representation of women and minorities in government jobs. His remarks were made during discussions with a delegation led by Akbar Hussain Durrani.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Zardari highlighted the critical role of the Federal Public Service Commission in recruiting civil servants, essential for enhancing service delivery and promoting good governance across the country. He proposed several improvements to the civil service recruitment process to ensure the selection of the most suitable candidates for various governmental roles.
The President advocated for the adoption of modern technologies and new methodologies, including computerized testing, to make the recruitment process more efficient and transparent. He emphasized that such advancements would aid in fairly evaluating candidates who perform well in written examinations.
Akbar Hussain Durrani, in his briefing to the President, outlined the current roles and challenges of the Federal Public Service Commission in the recruitment process. He discussed specific issues that hinder the efficiency of selecting suitable government servants.
Zardari assured the delegation of his continuous support and guidance to overcome these challenges and improve the recruitment system, reinforcing his commitment to broadening opportunities for underrepresented groups in the public sector.
