Ashraf Sehrai, Shabbir Shah given presidential awards on AJK Foundation Day

Muzaffarabad, October 24, 2022 (PPI-OT): Martyred leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai and illegally detained senior leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah were given presidential awards in recognition of their services for the freedom cause during a function held in Muzaffarabad on the 75th Foundation Day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, today. Shaheed Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai sacrificed himself along with his son Junaid Sehrai in the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement. Prisoner of Conscience Shabbir Ahmad Shah spent most of his lifetime in jail and is still languishing in India’s notorious Tihar Jail.

Shabbir Shah’s award was received by APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, while the award of Shaheed Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai was received by Ghulam Mohammad Safi, the leader of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat AJK chapter. Riyaz Ahmed Khan, nephew of Shaheed Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai was also present in the ceremony. A delegation from APHC-AJK chapter led by Mahmood Ahmed Saghar participated in the ceremony held in Muzaffarabad. Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Mushtaqul Islam and Mushtaq Ahmad Butt were also among the participants.
