New Delhi, November 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):As part of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ‘ghar wapsi’ campaign, twenty-six Muslims were lured back to Hinduism by a Swami in Baghra village of Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh in India. All the Muslims who had been lured back to Hindusim are from four families of Saharanpur, performed Havan and Yaggya supervised by Swami Yashveer Maharaj at Yashveer Ashram. Those converted include women and children, according to a video shared by Yashveer on YouTube.
As part of Yashveer claims in the video that these families have done ‘ghar wapsi’, which is a campaign of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its affiliate Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) to convert Muslims and Christians to Hinduism. This is not the first time Yashveer has lured people to Hinduism. In recent months, according to his own claims, he has converted 77 Christians and Muslims, including these 26.
“There are many people who are in contact with us in this regard. Rajput Muslims, Gujjar Muslims and Tiyagi Mslims are in contact with us. Soon, they will come in the fold of Hinduism,” said Yashveer addressing the media-persons boasted at his Ashram after carrying out the conversion rituals.
Political analysts question as why Swami Yashveer Maharaj should not be arrested by Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad like the way Maulana Kaleem Siddique, Chairman of ‘Global Peace Centre’ was arrested earlier this year over conversion issue. They question whether all such anti-conversion laws and applicable on Muslims and Hindus and exempt from them. The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) arrested renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui (Chairman of ‘Global Peace Centre’) from Meerut.
