Arshad Nadeem Wins Gold at Paris Olympics, Shaza Fatima Highlights Government Support


Islamabad: In a significant sporting achievement, Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem clinched a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, setting a new Olympic record in the process. The victory was praised by Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, as a demonstration of Nadeem’s dedication and the effective support of the Pakistani government.



According to Press Information Department, Minister Khawaja highlighted the government’s commitment to sports development under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership. She noted the consistent support for athletes demonstrated by significant financial assistance for Nadeem’s medical treatments in the UK and a reward for his performance at the 2023 World Athletics Championships. “This support,” she stated, “is a reflection of our dedication to nurturing the potential of our nation’s youth and will continue to ensure our athletes have the resources needed to excel globally.”



Khawaja’s statement concluded with a patriotic salute: “Pakistan Zindabad!”
