Islamabad, September 03, 2021 (PPI-OT):Hurriyat AJK leaders, Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Syed Aijaz Rehmani, have strongly condemned the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and imposition of curfew and restrictions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Sheikh Abdul Mateen and Syed Aijaz Rehmani in their separate statements expressed concern over the arrest of Hurriyat leaders and activists including Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Aashiq Hussain Narchoor and Mushtaq-ul-Islam Parra in Srinagar, Islamabad and other areas of IIOJK.
They also denounced imposition of curfew and caging of people in their houses by the Indian authorities on the second day to stop them from expressing solidarity with the family of the martyred veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, who embraced martyrdom on Wednesday in his house, which was turned into a sub-jail by the authorities in 2015.
The Hurriyat AJK leaders urged the international community to send their teams to IIOJK to take stock of the ground situation of the territory which has been turned into a military garrison and police state by the Modi-led fascist Indian regime.
