Army Honors Valor and Service in Ceremonies Across Major Cities


Peshawar: Corps Investiture Ceremonies were conducted in Peshawar, Lahore, and Karachi to honor the bravery and dedicated service of officers and soldiers. A significant number of senior Army officers and families of the award recipients attended the events.



In Peshawar, Lieutenant General Omer Ahmed Bokhari, Corps Commander Peshawar, served as the Chief Guest. The next of kin of two Junior Commissioned Officers and 47 soldiers received the Tamgha-i-Basalat on behalf of the Shuhadas. Four officers were awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), while 11 officers received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) for their services.



Lahore saw Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah, Commander Lahore Corps, preside over the ceremony. Three Junior Commissioned Officers and 24 soldiers were posthumously awarded the Tamgha-i-Basalat for their sacrifices. Additionally, 28 officers were honored with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), and 72 officers received the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military).



In Karachi, Lieutenant General Muhammad Avais Dastgir, Corps Commander Karachi, was the chief guest at the ceremony. He awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) to 10 officers, the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) to 4 officers, and the Tamgha-e-Basalat to 16 soldiers.



Across all three cities, heartfelt tributes were offered to the Shuhada, emphasizing the Pakistan Army’s commitment to national defense and security.
