Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has directed intensified support for flood victims in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The military chief commanded deployed troops to provide comprehensive aid to those impacted by the deluge.
Reinforcements are being sent to bolster relief operations. The Pakistan Army has contributed a day’s pay to the rehabilitation efforts and allocated over 600 tons of rations for distribution to those in need.
The Corps of Engineers has been tasked with expediting bridge repairs and setting up temporary crossings where required. Specialized units, including the 9th Rescue Sniffing Dog Unit and the Special Urban Search and Rescue Team, are being deployed for search and rescue missions.
