Army Chief Honors Martyrs in Muzaffarabad Visit


Muzaffarabad: The Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), visited Muzaffarabad, where he paid homage to the sacrifices of the martyrs. During his visit, he laid a floral wreath at the Jammu and Kashmir Monument and offered tributes to the Shuhada.



According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations, General Munir also lauded the dedication and readiness of the officers and soldiers deployed in Kashmir. He emphasized the importance of maintaining operational preparedness to deter any hostile provocations.



The army chief expressed confidence in the battle readiness of the Armed Forces and reaffirmed the commitment to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty. He stated that any act of aggression would be met with a resolute response.



General Munir later met with notables and veterans of Kashmir, reiterating Pakistan’s support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He condemned rising extremism and expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination.



Upon his arrival, General Munir was received by the Commander of the Rawalpindi Corps.
