Army Chief Highlights Importance of Multi-Nation Air Drills during Indus Shield-2023

Islamabad, General Syed Asim Munir, the Army Chief, visited an operational air base to observe the ongoing aerial exercise, Indus Shield-2023. The exercise, showcasing the prowess of the Pakistan Air Force, was also attended by the Air Chiefs of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Hungary, marking it as a significant 14-nation mega air drill event.

According to a news release by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, In his address to the participants, the Army Chief underscored the critical role of such multinational air exercises in achieving collective objectives, especially given the rapid changes in air warfare dynamics. General Munir lauded the Centre for its dedication and expertise in molding proficient air warriors equipped to face modern warfare challenges. Meanwhile, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, highlighted Indus Shield as a platform for air forces from different nations to demonstrate their exceptional skills and operational capacities.
