Rawalpindi, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir praised the unwavering dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces in their endeavors to combat terrorism, emphasizing the crucial role of intelligentsia and civil society in safeguarding the nation’s youth from adverse propaganda directed towards state institutions.
According to a news release by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, General Munir conveyed these sentiments while addressing attendees of the National Security Workshop – 25 in Rawalpindi on Thursday. The forum provided a comprehensive overview of several initiatives designed to curtail illicit activities, spanning smuggling, power theft, narcotics trade, border control, and the repatriation of undocumented foreigners in Pakistan.
Detailing the relentless challenges faced by Pakistan’s security forces and intelligence apparatus, the Army Chief underlined their exemplary commitment to eradicating terrorism, even in the face of persistent antagonism from adversarial entities. He expressed optimism about Pakistan’s future, citing the unwavering support of its citizens as a decisive factor in ensuring triumph.
Discussing the repatriation and deportation of illegal foreigners, General Munir reiterated that the well-being and security of Pakistan’s citizenry remain non-negotiable priorities that will not be overshadowed by external pressures.
Additionally, the Army Chief highlighted the palpable economic uplift resulting from a series of proactive initiatives, notably the inception of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
