Army Chief Affirms Solidarity with Balochistan for Sustainable Peace


Islamabad, The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Asim Munir, has affirmed that the prosperity of Balochistan signifies the prosperity of Pakistan. During his visit to the Awaran district in Balochistan, General Munir expressed his admiration for the resilience of the people of Balochistan, highlighting their determination in the face of challenges.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Army Chief underscored the unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies to support the peace and prosperity of Balochistan’s people. He engaged with local elders, farmers, and the families of martyrs, ensuring the Army’s continued support for their security and welfare. General Munir also paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the martyrs in the region.



In discussions with local notables and farmers, the COAS emphasized the significance of agriculture and the Army’s dedication to the Green Pakistan Initiative. He promised comprehensive agricultural support, including easy access to loans, seeds, fertilizers, solar-powered tube wells, and expert guidance, to empower farmers to contribute to Pakistan’s development.



Furthermore, General Munir inaugurated Cadet College Awaran, where he met with faculty members and students. He praised the establishment of another Cadet College in Balochistan, reflecting on its importance for the local community. The COAS reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment to continuing development and relief efforts in Balochistan, in collaboration with civil authorities.



Upon his arrival, the COAS was welcomed by the Corps Commander of the Balochistan Corps, marking the beginning of a visit that underscores the national importance of solidarity and development in Balochistan.
