Islamabad, December 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):Argentina has become the football world champion after defeating the defending champion France in penalty kick shootout in the Final of FIFA World Cup 2022 at Lusail Stadium in Qatar tonight. Millions of spectators across the world particularly in France and Argentina watched the two teams fighting for mega event title.
President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharifhave congratulated Qatar for successfully holding the FIFA’s mega football event. In their separate tweets, the President and the Prime Minister also congratulated Argentina on becoming the world football champions. The Prime Minister in his tweet said the upsets by Saudi Arabia and Morocco also remain highlights of the tournament.
