Riyadh: The Extraordinary Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, convened in Riyadh, has passed a significant resolution to reaffirm its unwavering support for the Palestinian and Lebanese people while condemning Israeli aggressions. The summit, which brought together leaders from across the Arab and Islamic worlds, emphasized the need for international intervention to compel Israel to comply with international law.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the resolution calls for all countries to prohibit the export or transfer of weapons and ammunition to Israel. Furthermore, it urges the International Criminal Court to swiftly issue arrest warrants against Israeli civilian and military officials accused of crimes against the Palestinian people.
The resolution also appeals to active international parties to initiate a comprehensive plan with clear steps and timelines under international sponsorship. The objective is to terminate the occupation and establish an independent, sovereign Palestinian state based on the June 1967 lines, with occupied Al-Quds as its capital. This initiative aligns with the two-state solution, approved references, and the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002.
