Appellate Tribunals to Resolve Election Appeals Ahead of Pakistan General Elections

Islamabad, Appellate tribunals in Pakistan are actively working to resolve appeals filed against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers for the upcoming general elections. These tribunals, led by high court judges, have a deadline until January 10th to conclude their decisions.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the electoral process is proceeding as per the scheduled timeline. Following the resolution of appeals, the preliminary list of candidates will be displayed on January 11th. Candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw their nomination papers by January 12th.

The allocation of electoral symbols to the candidates is set for January 13th. The general elections are scheduled to take place on the 8th of the following month.

This process by the appellate tribunals is a crucial step in ensuring a fair and orderly conduct of the general elections, as Pakistan prepares for this significant democratic exercise.
