Appellate Tribunals to Conclude Election Appeals by Wednesday

Islamabad, Appellate Tribunals, formed to review appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers for the upcoming general elections, are set to conclude their decisions by Wednesday.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, these tribunals, which consist of High Court judges, play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and fairness of the electoral process. Their decisions are key in finalizing the candidates eligible to participate in the elections.

As per the election schedule, the preliminary list of candidates will be published on the 11th of this month. Following this, candidates will have until the 12th of January to withdraw their nomination papers if they wish to do so. Subsequently, electoral symbols are scheduled to be allotted on the 13th of this month. The culmination of these processes will lead to the general elections, which are slated to be held on the 8th of the following month.
