APHC thanks people for observing Oct 27 as Kashmir Black Day

Srinagar, October 28, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has thanked the people of the territory and Kashmiri Diaspora for observing October 27 as Black Day and organizing peaceful protest rallies on this day against the illegal Indian military invasion of Kashmir in 1947.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that by observing the Black Day, the people in IIOJK and the Kashmiri Diaspora reiterated their pledge to never accept India’s forcible occupation of their motherland and to resist its military aggression at any cost.

He condemned the use of brute military force against the people of the occupied territory, especially the youth, to stop them from organising protest rallies against the illegal and forcible occupation of India. He deplored that a heavy crackdown and raids to arrest the youth, on one pretext or the other, were carried out and a large number of youth, including students, political activists and common people, were arrested and put behind the bars in the occupied territory.

The spokesman also expressed his grave concern over the gruesome killing of AJK prisoner Zia Mustafa, who had been languishing in Indian jail for the last 18 years where from he was taken to the forests of Poonch, near the LoC and killed in extrajudicial manner in a fake encounter by the Indian army.

Terming the killing of prisoners with impunity as a heinous act of state terrorism perpetrated by India in the occupied territory, he appealed to the UN Council for Human Rights to lodge a criminal case against India in the International Court of Justice to bring to book the uniformed killers of Zia Mustafa.

The APHC spokesman urged the United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres to take serious cognizance of the heinous war crimes committed by Indian forces in Kashmir and take appropriate measures to resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
