Srinagar, September 15, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has thanked the people and government of Pakistan for expressing solidarity and condolences with the grief-stricken people of the territory on the custodial killing of veteran Hurriyat leader and icon of Kashmir freedom movement, Syed Ali Gilani.
The APHC in a thanks-giving message said that Indian fascist regime using its brute military force didn’t allow the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir to participate in the last religious rituals and funeral prayers of the iconic personality of the ongoing resistance movement. “We were not allowed to mourn and pay homage to the departed leader. The bruised feelings of the bereaved people were crushed with iron fists and the pain and agony increased manifold,” the APHC said.
The statement maintained that the life-time Chairman of APHC, Syed Ali Gilani, was killed in police custody and his dead body was snatched from the aggrieved family by the Indian forces for burial in the darkness of the night without performing the religious rituals. It said, at this most critical juncture of the Kashmir freedom movement, Pakistan and its people stood wholeheartedly with the aggrieved people of IIOJK which to a great extent consoled them and provided them a healing touch.
APHC, on behalf of freedom-loving people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir once again thanks President and Prime Minister of Pakistan and the people of the country for displaying solidarity, support and deep concern for the people of the occupied territory, the statement added.
