APHC thanks IIOJK people for observing Indian I-Day as Black Day

Srinagar, August 15, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has thanked the freedom-loving people of Kashmir for observing the Indian Independence Day as Black Day.

The APHC Working Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in statement issued in Srinagar said that despite the use of brute force to compel common people for participation in such programmes, the brave people of the territory yet again depicted clearly with their sacred blood that they would never accept Indian illegal occupation.

Reiterating the uncompromising commitment and pledge to lead the ongoing resistance movement to its logical conclusion, he hailed the overwhelming support given by the people of Kashmir while observing the Ashra-e- Muzahamat from 5th of August to 15th of August 2021 and termed it as an eye-opener for India to recognise the legitimate demand of the people for their inalienable right to self-determination.

The APHC leader regretted the futile arrogance displayed by India against the popular resistance movement of Kashmir and said that the roots of the freedom sentiments in the hearts of the people of Kashmir are too deep to cut by India.

Strongly condemning the unimaginable atrocities inflicted on the besieged people of the occupied territory ahead of its so-called Independence Day, the Hurriyat leader said, it has become normal for the Indian forces to kill the people, put them behind the bars, beat them, destroy their dwellings, desecrate their honour and chastity, treat them as slaves having no rights as human beings, as if the occupation forces are on a hunting expedition in a jungle where no law exists that is Kashmir.

He urged the United Nations to take appropriate action against the Indian brutalities, genocide and widespread human rights abuses at the hands of Indian forces in Kashmir and demanded high level probe into these heinous war crimes. He asked the World Body to hold a free and fair plebiscite as early as possible to resolve Kashmir dispute in the light of UN resolutions.
