Srinagar, August 31, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly reacted to the vague statement issued by the Indian Defence Minister relating to Jammu and Kashmir wherein he claimed the territory to be integral part of India.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar terming the statement as a cruel joke exclaimed on the ignorance of the Indian Defence Minister about the history of Kashmir, adding that Jammu and Kashmir has never been a part of India. The strong resistance movement going on since 1947 against Indian military occupation provides ample proof that the freedom loving people of Kashmir have never digested Indian version on Kashmir.
“The huge quantum of sacrifices in terms of around half a million human lives, widespread desecration of honour and dignity and destruction of billions worth material property have not been offered to remain glued with India but to break the shackles of Indian forcible subjugation,” maintained the statement.
Advising India to shun parroting Kashmir as integral part of India, the Hurriyat spokesman said neither history nor the ground situation favours India so it is more in the interests of India to accept the hard facts of history and allow a free and fair plebiscite in Kashmir as recognised by the United Nations Security council resolutions.
The spokesman, while denouncing the use of brute force against the peace loving people of Kashmir, paid rich tributes to the martyrs of Poonch, Rajouri and other parts of the occupied territory and said that these repressive tactics cannot deter us to lead the ongoing resistance movement to its logical conclusion.
Urging the United Nations Secretary General to help resolve Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations Security council Resolutions and pressurise India to stop widespread custodial killings, genocide, and the gross violation of human rights at the hands of Indian occupation forces in Kashmir, the spokesman said that it has become more important to address the most dangerous issue, like Kashmir, which has become a Nuclear Flashpoint in the subcontinent.
