APHC, others denounce custodial killing of AJK resident by India in IIOJK 

Srinagar, September 04, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has denounced the custodial killing of a mentally challenged resident of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Tabarak Hussain, by the Indian army in the territory. Tabarak Hussain was shot at and arrested in injured condition by the Indian troops after he unintentionally crossed the LoC in Naushera area of Rajouri district in the month of August.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said beating and killing of innocent Kashmiris have become the norm in the occupied territory. He added that Tabarak Hussain was mentally ill, which the Indian authorities knew as he had also mistakenly crossed the LoC six years ago and was returned through Wagah. He urged the world community, particularly the United Nations, to hold India accountable for grave human rights violations and war crimes being perpetrated by its troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, APHC leader Khawaja Firdous in a statement in Srinagar also condemned the killing of AJK resident in custody. APHC-AJK chapter leader Imtiaz Hussain Wani in a statement in Islamabad, condemning the killing of the AJK resident, said India would never succeed in preventing the Kashmiri people from their just struggle through such tactics. He said India has practically turned Kashmir into a military cantonment but despite it the people of Kashmir would continue their freedom movement till taking it to its logical conclusion.

APHC-AJK leaders Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar, Qazi Imran, Mehmood Akhtar Qureshi, Muhammad Lateef Lone, Syed Gulshan Ashfaq, Barwal Nazir Karnai, Nadeem Wani, Majeed Mir, Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Nazir Ahmad Mir and Khawaja Nayeemul Hassain in their statements strongly condemned the custodial killing of Tabark Hussain. They said that the AJK resident was martyred due to severe violence and the world community and international human rights organisations must take notice of this Indian terrorism.

The Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League, Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League in their separate statements, denouncing the killing of Tabark Hussain, termed it the worst kind of Indian state terrorism.
