APHC Leader Condemns Indian Home Minister’s Remarks, Defends Kashmiri Employment Rights

Islamabad, APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar has issued a strong rebuke against Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent statements, perceived as an attempt to undermine the employment rights of Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Saghar criticized the ongoing policies of the Indian government, which include the dismissal of Kashmiri employees from their government jobs and the use of derogatory language against them. He stressed that Kashmir remains a disputed territory under UN resolutions, and that India’s actions violate the fundamental rights of its residents.

Saghar’s statement calls for international attention to the plight of Kashmiris, particularly the conditions faced by detained APHC leader Shabbir Ahmad Shah and other Hurriyat leaders. He urged global human rights organizations to recognize and respond to the infringements on the rights and freedoms of the Kashmiri people, asserting their inalienable right to employment and self-determination.
