Srinagar: The leadership of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has extended its deep gratitude to Pakistan for its steadfast support of the Kashmiri people’s quest for self-determination. This expression of appreciation comes as Pakistan continues to observe Kashmir Solidarity Day, highlighting its unwavering commitment to the Kashmir cause.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, senior APHC leader Shabbir Ahmed Shah conveyed his message from Delhi’s Tihar Jail, emphasizing the significance of Pakistan’s consistent policy and firm allegiance to the struggle in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, another prominent leader of the APHC, reiterated from Srinagar the commitment of the Kashmiri people to pursue a just and peaceful resolution of the longstanding Kashmir dispute, in accordance with their aspirations. He stressed the importance of meaningful dialogue and engagement to address the issue.
In a demonstration of solidarity, posters bearing “Thank You Pakistan” slogans and the image of the Pakistani flag were seen in Srinagar and other parts of IIOJK. This visual acknowledgment underscores the appreciation for Pakistan’s role in advocating for the rights of the Kashmiri people.
