APHC Denounces Indian Forces’ Repressive Actions in IIOJK

Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has issued a condemnation of the ongoing harsh measures by Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, including violent cordon and search operations, extensive house raids, and arbitrary detentions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid detailed the arrest of five youths from the Pulwama and Islamabad districts during recent operations. He criticized these actions as part of a continued oppressive campaign by the Indian authorities against the local population.

Advocate Minhas also criticized the recent suspension of five government employees under dubious allegations, which he described as part of the RSS-backed Modi regime’s retaliatory tactics against those opposing Indian rule over the region. This suppression, he asserted, reflects a systematic approach to quash any resistance through political and physical intimidation.

The statement further highlighted that the security measures have led to a severe militarization of the region, turning urban and rural areas alike into tightly controlled zones where residents face ongoing violations of their rights. In a related expression of dissent, the Jammu and Kashmir Young Men’s League condemned a raid on the home of its leader, Shaikh Mehrajudin, in the Maisuma area, citing harassment and property damage by Indian forces.
