Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has issued a strong statement in Srinagar, asserting that no form of repression can dampen the Kashmiri spirit for freedom from Indian control. The organization criticized India’s continued occupation and called for international intervention to resolve the conflict.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas highlighted the resilience of the Kashmiris, despite severe measures such as killings, arrests, and torture. “The Kashmiri people are resolute in their struggle to liberate their homeland from Indian yoke, steadfastly resisting BJP/RSS attempts to impose Hindutva ideologies in IIOJK,” Minhas stated. He emphasized that the Kashmiris remain committed to their freedom struggle, undeterred by the Modi regime’s efforts to suppress their aspirations.
The APHC’s message underscored the unity of the Kashmiri people against India’s strategies in the region, celebrating their ongoing resistance as a critical moment in their history. The statement also called on India to release all political prisoners, including Hurriyat leaders and youth, and appealed for UN intervention to ensure a resolution that aligns with Kashmiri aspirations.
Furthermore, recent posters in IIOJK have criticized the Modi regime for its religious bias against Kashmiri Muslims, particularly in how it privileges Hindu pilgrims while restricting Muslim religious practices. These posters, which have appeared in various locations, also condemn restrictions imposed on Muslim congregations during significant religious events like Muharram.
