APHC Condemns BJP Regime’s Property Attachments in IIOJK, Calls for International Intervention

Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has issued a strong condemnation against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regime for attaching the properties of Hurriyet activists and Kashmiri people advocating for self-determination. The APHC leaders accused the BJP of using colonial-era tactics to suppress the political will and weaken the economy of the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC leaders including Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Advocate Arshad Iqbal, Ms. Hafsa, Maulvi Musaib Nadvi, Prof. Zubairi, Imtiyaz Reshi, Fayaz Hussain Jafari, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi, and others in Srinagar described the property attachments as part of the RSS/BJP Hindutva agenda. They alleged that these actions, directed by the Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain, are intended to crush the Kashmiris’ stand and weaken their economy.

The leaders criticized the Modi government for using agencies to harass and humiliate the families of Hurriyat leaders, youth, and activists, in an effort to weaken the demand for the right to self-determination.

Meanwhile, APHCAJK leaders in Islamabad, including Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Advocate Parvaiz Shah, Shameem Shawl, Muhammad Sultan Butt, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Manzoor Ahmed Shah, Zahid Safi, Zahid Ashraf, and Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, termed the BJP’s actions as pressure tactics to silence the voice of Kashmiris. They insisted that such tactics would not intimidate the Hurriyat leaders and urged India to adhere to international law and United Nations resolutions to resolve the Kashmir dispute.

The leaders called upon the international community to intervene and resolve the Kashmir issue, highlighting the need to protect Kashmiris from what they termed as “Hindutva terrorism.”
