Srinagar, November 12, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has condemned the surge in the killing of civilians in fake encounters by Indian troops during so-called cordon and search operations in the territory.
The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in staged encounters in Kulgam, Srinagar and other areas of the occupied territory. He said every passing day is not less than a doomsday for the people of Kashmir who continue to bury their near and dear ones, killed by Indian forces’ personnel.
The spokesman expressed grave concern over the inhuman behaviour meted out to the freedom-loving people of IIOJK at the hands of Indian occupational forces during the cordon and search operations frequently carried out at the cold night hours. “People are humiliated, degraded, and subjected to physical and mental torture and are treated worse than animals during the military operations,” he deplored.
The APHC spokesman reiterated the Kashmiris’ pledge to take the ongoing resistance movement to its logical conclusion despite the use of brute military force by India. He said India’s brutal tactics cannot deter the Kashmiri people to pursue their sacred goal of freedom. “We have sacrificed a lot. We are indebted to the sacred blood of our martyrs and we will take the ongoing resistance movement to its logical conclusion,” he added.
The spokesman demanded a high level probe by the United Nations Human Rights Council and International Criminal Court into the heinous crimes perpetrated by Indian troops in IIOJK. He said the detainees like Zia Mustuffa are being taken out of the jail and killed in fake encounters during the CASOs.
The APHC spokesman urged the United Nations Secretary General to take cognizance of the widespread killings, illegal detentions and gross human rights violations by Indian troops in IIOJK and take necessary action against them. He said it has become highly imperative for the UN to implement its resolutions on Kashmir and settle the dispute in the larger interests of peace and prosperity in South Asia and the entire globe.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat AJK leaders including Syed Yousuf Naseem, Mir Tahir Masood, Syed Aijaz Rehmani and Hassan Al-Bana in a meeting in Islamabad, today, paid rich tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in Srinagar and Kulgam districts in IIOJK.
They expressed serious concern over the deteriorating situation and deployment of 55 more companies of paramilitary forces in IIOJK and redeployment of Border Security Force by India in the Kashmir Valley.
