New Delhi, The imprisoned Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Masarrat Aalam Butt, has extended his Eid greetings to the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Masarrat Aalam Butt, conveyed his message from New Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail, where he expressed solidarity with the oppressed peoples of occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, calling for their immediate liberation from their colonial oppressors, India and Israel. Butt’s message highlighted the trials faced by the Muslim world and emphasized the importance of support for families affected by the conflict in Kashmir.

In related developments, other leaders from the region and APHC-AJK representatives in Islamabad have also issued statements for Eid-ul-Adha. They called for care for the underprivileged and continued resistance against oppression, while extending their greetings to the people and the Government of Pakistan, as well as all political, social, and religious parties in Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, a senior leader of APHC-AJK and Chairman of the J and K People’s Freedom League, highlighted the struggles of Muslims in both occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, and called for unity and international advocacy against the aggression faced by Muslims. Rehmani also expressed solidarity with the Rohingya Muslims and condemned the forces of western imperialism, Zionism, and Hindutva politics for their roles in global conflicts affecting Muslims.
