APHC Asserts Hope for Freedom Despite Ongoing Indian Oppression in IIOJK

Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has expressed strong optimism about the eventual end of what it describes as the dark night of Indian oppression in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, anticipating a future dawn of freedom for the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, an APHC spokesman, in a statement issued in Srinagar, highlighted the continued demands of the Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination. He criticized the Indian government’s reluctance to accept a peaceful and democratic resolution to the Kashmir issue, instead opting for repressive tactics against the indigenous resistance movement.

The spokesman emphasized the resilience of the Kashmiri people, who, despite living under what he termed an illegal military occupation, remain steadfast in their determination to achieve freedom. He argued that Indian colonialism has employed various oppressive strategies to suppress the Kashmiris’ freedom movement but has not succeeded in breaking their resolve.

The APHC also paid tribute to the Kashmiri youth who sacrificed their lives for the cause, stressing their significance in the ongoing struggle. The spokesman called on the international community to apply more pressure on India to halt state terrorism in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and to find a resolution to the protracted Kashmir dispute.
