Karachi: Leaders from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) and Karachi’s Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) convened at the Noor-e-Haq Institute to finalize plans for an upcoming anti-India rally on October 27, marking a significant date of protest against Indian actions in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK delegation, led by Ghulam Muhammad Safi and comprising members such as Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Syed Ejaz Ahmed Shah, Abdul Hameed Lone, and Sheikh Abdul Majeed, shared details with the JI leadership about the protest intended to highlight ongoing issues in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The day is observed as Black Day by those opposing Indian policies in the region.
The discussion detailed the current challenges faced in Jammu and Kashmir, with a focus on encouraging Muslim nations to support a resolution to the longstanding conflict.
JI leaders expressed deep personal commitment to the Kashmir cause, noting the party’s historical support both financial and practical towards efforts aimed at liberating the region from Indian control. They guaranteed robust participation in the October 27 rally and reiterated their ongoing support for the Kashmiri struggle for independence.
The JI leadership also confirmed their attendance at the rally, emphasizing their unyielding support for the Kashmiri populace. The meeting ended with APHC-AJK expressing gratitude for the JI’s consistent backing and active role in the Kashmiri liberation effort.
Furthermore, the APHC-AJK delegation held additional meetings with prominent political figures from other parties, including the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League and leaders of the JUI Sindh province chapter, to garner wider support for the cause and the upcoming protest.
