APHC-AJK Sends Eid Greetings to Kashmiris, Palestinians Amidst Struggles

Islamabad, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has issued Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to Muslims worldwide, with a special mention of the challenges faced by the communities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC-AJK leaders, including Convener Mahmood Ahmad Sagar, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, and Imtiaz Wani, have highlighted the severe adversities endured by the inhabitants of IIOJK and Palestine due to ongoing occupation forces’ brutalities. In their collective statement, they emphasized the importance of unity among the Muslim Ummah and called for political and economic stability in Muslim nations.

The leaders expressed strong condemnation of the actions by the Indian government under Prime Minister Modi against the peaceful struggle of Kashmiris seeking their right to self-determination. They pointed out the continuous arrests of Kashmiri youth and the unjust detention of Hurriyat leaders in India’s jails, specifically mentioning the notorious Tihar Jail in Delhi.

The APHC-AJK has appealed to the United Nations and the international community to intervene in supporting the legitimate struggle of the Kashmiri people and to prevent India from altering the demography of the Muslim-majority region of Jammu and Kashmir. They also called for the release of all Kashmiri political prisoners and urged the UN to fulfill its role in addressing these human rights concerns.
