Islamabad: The All-Party Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his firm stance on the Kashmir issue, highlighting his recent address as a true reflection of the sentiments of the Kashmiri people.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Prime Minister Sharif, in his address to the nation, reaffirmed the status of Jammu and Kashmir under international law and United Nations resolutions. He emphasized that the region remains an undisputed issue and called for the right of Kashmiris to vote in a free and unbiased environment supervised by the UN. He stated that India’s unilateral actions cannot alter this reality.
APHC-AJK leaders, including Mushtaq Ahmed Butt and other key figures, expressed their gratitude for the Prime Minister’s articulation of the emotions held by Kashmiris. They stated that his address resonated with the feelings of those in Kashmir.
In a related development, Kashmiri leader Altaf Hussain Wani condemned India’s military actions against Pakistan. He described these actions as severe violations of international law, pointing specifically to attacks on civilian areas and religious sites. Wani emphasized that such actions breach international humanitarian law, which protects civilians and places of worship.
