Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter has publicly commended the Kashmir Media Service (KMS) for its pivotal role in bringing international attention to the Kashmir dispute and the human rights violations occurring in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a meeting in Islamabad with a delegation from KMS, APHC-AJK Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt emphasized the crucial impact of media in the Kashmiri freedom movement. He praised KMS for its dedication to documenting and exposing the adverse actions of Indian forces in the region.
Butt acknowledged KMS’s efforts in countering Indian propaganda and informing the global community about the ongoing struggles in Kashmir. He also noted the importance of engaging more dynamically on digital and social media platforms to involve the youth in the freedom movement and to combat misinformation spread by Indian media outlets.
The meeting also reviewed the success of recent programs organized by APHC-AJK, with leaders endorsing the continuation of such initiatives to sustain momentum in the freedom struggle. Notable Hurriyat leaders present at the meeting included Imtiaz Wani, Muhammad Shafi Dar, and others, who collectively stressed the need for sustained media efforts in support of Kashmir’s liberation.
