APHC-AJK meeting thoroughly discusses IIOJK’s latest situation

Islamabad, December 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):An important meeting of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Convener Mahmood Ahmed Sagar, today. The participants of the meeting thoroughly discussed the latest situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Senior Hurriyat leaders Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Shamim Shawl and General Secretary of the forum Sheikh Abdul Mateen informed the meeting about their recent visit to Turkeye.

They said Kashmiris living abroad are playing their due role regarding the Kashmir dispute. They told the forum about their meetings with renowned think tanks and other personalities in Turkeye. They said Turkey is currently playing an important role regarding the Muslim Ummah, especially Kashmir. They said that the Turkish President’s stance and blunt policy against India on the anti-Muslim agenda is commendable.

Hurriyat leaders said that the entire Muslim world seems to be uniting against India on the anti-Muslim policy of the Modi government, especially on the blasphemous remarks of the BJP spokesperson, a solid and encouraging reaction has come from the Muslim countries, particularly the Arab world and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). They said terrorism and extremism of the Modi government against Muslims need to be exposed in the whole world and the Kashmiris especially should take advantage of this situation.

Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar said Turkey has played a significant role in the freedom movement of Kashmir. He added that the freedom movement of Kashmir was currently at a critical stage and the meeting of G20 countries in a disputed area like Jammu and Kashmir is a violation of international law and urged the international community to stop India from holding the meeting in Kashmir. Syed Yusuf Naseem apprised the meeting of OIC Secretary General’s visit to Pakistan and Altaf Hussain Wani’s meeting with a delegation of Thailand. Later, a special prayer was offered for the martyrs of Kashmir and the early freedom of Kashmir.
