APHC-AJK Leaders Praise General Syed Asim Munir for Resolute Support on Kashmir Issue

Islamabad: In a unified display of support, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter leaders commended Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, for his definitive stance on the Kashmir conflict.

According to Kashmir Media Service, General Asim Munir articulated his views during the Defence and Martyrs Day ceremony held at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. He described India’s control over Jammu and Kashmir as a concern that transcends national boundaries, posing regional and global implications. “We salute the freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people and maintain that the establishment of sustainable peace in South Asia lies in the solution of the Kashmir issue,” he stated, affirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri pursuit of self-determination.

APHC-AJK General Secretary, Advocate Pervez Shah, along with senior leaders Mehmood Ahmed Saghar and Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, expressed their gratitude towards General Munir for his staunch position. They emphasized that his commitment was pivotal in bolstering the morale of those fighting for Kashmir’s independence.

The APHC-AJK representatives also underscored the importance of resolving the Kashmir dispute for the sake of global peace. They reiterated the need for adherence to United Nations resolutions and for addressing the legitimate aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The dialogue further highlighted the resilience of the Kashmiri community despite continued adversities and human rights violations by Indian forces. The leaders cautioned about the dire consequences of neglecting this dispute, including the risk of nuclear conflict, and urged the international community and the United Nations to uphold UN resolutions to ensure regional stability.

Emphasizing the ongoing commitment to a peaceful resolution, the APHC-AJK leaders pointed out that Indian intransigence continues to aggravate the situation.
