APHC-AJK Leaders Meet AJK Prime Minister, Call for Global Support on Self-Determination


Muzaffarabad: All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter delegation, led by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, met with Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq today.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting called upon the international community to play its role in giving the Kashmiri people their birthright to self-determination. The discussion emphasized that lasting peace in the region hinges on recognizing this fundamental right for the Kashmiris.



Members of the Legislative Assembly present at the meeting reiterated their commitment to restoring the Kashmiri people’s fundamental rights and protecting their identity. The freedom struggle and sacrifices of the Kashmiri people were acknowledged, and their efforts were lauded.



During the meeting, participants condemned the atrocities and serious human rights violations committed by India against the Kashmiri people. An appeal was made to the international community to take active steps in resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions, ensuring the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people.



The meeting was attended by APHC-AJK General Secretary Advocate Pervez Ahmed, Information Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, and other notable figures including Sheikh Abdul Majid, Syed Manzoor Ahmed, and Raja Khadim Hussain, among others.
