APHC-AJK Lauds Diaspora’s Role in Promoting Kashmir Cause


Islamabad, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir chapter (APHC-AJK) has commended the extensive efforts of the Kashmiri diaspora in raising awareness about the Kashmir issue on a global scale. The diaspora’s advocacy for a peaceful resolution to the conflict was highlighted during a special function organized in Islamabad.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the event held at Kashmir House was chaired by APHC-AJK convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar. Leaders of the conference underscored the importance of a unified approach among the Kashmiri diaspora and the residents of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They advocated for a consolidated strategy to address the ongoing military presence, the detention of Kashmiri leaders and activists, and the broader impacts of the dispute.



Speakers, including Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Ghalib Ahmed, and others, discussed the need for a comprehensive framework to enhance international support for Kashmiris under Indian control. They criticized the Indian government’s policies and called for global intervention, urging entities like the UN, OIC, and EU to actively support a peaceful settlement.



The assembly underscored the significance of international solidarity with the Kashmiri people, who have suffered for over seventy years due to the conflict. The event attracted a wide range of participants, emphasizing the collective resolve to continue pushing for Kashmir’s self-determination and the protection of human rights in the region.
