Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter commemorated the death anniversary of Kashmiri liberation leader Majaz Kashmiri with a tribute event in Islamabad, highlighting the ongoing struggle for freedom from Indian occupation.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK organized a prayer meeting under the leadership of Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi on the eighth anniversary of Majaz Kashmiri’s passing. During the event, Safi praised the sacrifices of Kashmiris in their pursuit of freedom and expressed solidarity with the families of Pakistan Army soldiers martyred in a recent terrorist attack in Bannu.
Senior APHC-AJK leader Mahmood Ahmed Saghar also honored Majaz Kashmiri and the martyrs of Kashmir, affirming that their sacrifices would not be in vain. The meeting concluded with prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir and the Pakistan Army.
In a related development, Hurriyat leaders from the Jammu region, including Qazi Imran, Khalid Shabbir, Imtiaz Butt, and Abdul Rashid Butt, condemned the arrest of social activists in Doda district by Indian forces. They criticized the Modi government’s actions against civilians in the occupied territory and urged the international community to pressure India to cease its actions and resolve the Kashmir dispute.
