Islamabad, February 15, 2023 (PPI-OT):The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter staged a protest demonstration in Islamabad, today, against the Hindutva policies of Modi-led Indian regime to dislodge the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir from their lands and properties to push for settler colonialism. The demonstration held in front of the Indian High Commission was led by APHC-AJK Convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar. The participants were holding banners and placards bearing slogans against brutal measures of BJP regime in IIOJK and its anti-Kashmir policies.

Addressing the protesters, the speakers said the BJP regime is resorting to the brutal measures to disempower the people of Jammu and Kashmir by grabbing their properties, lands, Waqaf properties, and demolition of their houses, shops and business complexes. They said, such brutal anti-Kashmir actions are meant to erase the Muslim identity of Jammu and Kashmir and convert the Muslim majority into a minority. The speaker’s said India is victimizing the people of Jammu and Kashmir for demanding their UN-mandated right to self-determination. They said Jammu and Kashmir belongs to its people and they will protect their rights by resisting New Delhi’s move to settle the Indian Hindus in the territory.

The speakers urged the United Nations to take cognizance of India’s brutalities in IIOJK and play role in the settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and relevant UN resolutions.
