APHC-AJK holds anti-India demo to mark Kashmir Martyrs’ Day

Islamabad, July 13, 2021 (PPI-OT):A protest was organized outside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad on the occasion of Kashmir Martyrs’ Day, today, by the of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter.

Rich tributes were paid on this occasion to the Kashmiri martyrs of July 13, 1931 who sacrificed their lives against the autocratic rule of Dogra ruler.

Addressing the protesters, the Hurriyat leaders said July 13, 1931 is an important milestone in the history of Jammu and Kashmir and since then the sacrifices being rendered by the Kashmiris for freedom of Jammu and Kashmir is continuation of the martyrs of July 13, 1931. They said that every sacrifice will be made to keep burning the candle lit by the martyrs of 1931 till complete freedom of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian occupation.

The speakers strongly condemned the massive human rights violations and the implementation of black laws in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir by India and appealed to the international community to increase pressure on India to stop its state terrorism in the occupied territory. They said that the martyrs of 1931 showed the Kashmiri nation the path of resistance against the repression and so far thousands of Kashmiris have sacrificed their lives for the fulfilment of their mission. They reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the struggle for freedom till it reached its logical end.

The speakers said India has used every brutal tactic to suppress the Kashmiris’ resolve through military force but failed in its nefarious designs. They said that lasting peace in South Asia could not be established without resolving the long-standing dispute over Kashmir as per the aspirations of Kashmiris and UN resolutions. They appealed to the international community to play its important role in finding a peaceful solution to the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The Hurriyat leaders paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri youth who were martyred by the Indian troops in recent days in IIOJK. They rejected all illegal actions of India in the occupied territory and warned the world community that India was giving domicile to non-Kashmiris to change the Muslim majority identity of Jammu and Kashmir.
