APHC-AJK Delegation Meets MQM Leaders, Visits Palestine Foundation in Karachi


Karachi: A delegation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) met with leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and visited the Palestine Foundation in Karachi to discuss the ongoing struggles in Kashmir and Palestine.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the APHC-AJK delegation, led by Convenor Ghulam Muhammad Safi, met with MQM leaders including Anis Qaimkhani, Shamshad Siddiqui, and Shabir Qaimkhani at Pakistan House. The meeting focused on the current situation in Kashmir, with MQM leaders reaffirming their support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. Anis Qaimkhani emphasized that the Kashmir issue is a concern for all Pakistanis and assured the Hurriyat delegation of MQM’s participation in the Black Day rally on October 27.



In a separate visit, the delegation met with Dr. Sabeer Abu Mariam, President of the Palestine Foundation Pakistan, and other figures from civil society. The meeting drew parallels between the struggles in Kashmir and Palestine, with speakers highlighting the oppressive strategies used by Hindu and Zionist forces. Both groups pledged to participate in the upcoming Black Day rally.



Meanwhile, Ghulam Muhammad Safi addressed a press conference, calling October 27, 1947, the darkest day in Kashmir’s history, marking the beginning of India’s illegal occupation. The delegation also met with officials from the Human Rights Council of Pakistan, where human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir were discussed, and a commitment to raise these issues at national and international levels was made.



The speakers stressed the need for solidarity to defeat extremism and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom.
