Islamabad: A delegation from the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) met with Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, the Chairman of the Special Committee of the National Assembly on Kashmir, to discuss the ongoing crisis in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting took place at Parliament Lodges in Islamabad, where the delegation, led by senior APHC-AJK leader Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, briefed Chairman Qasim Noon on the deteriorating human rights situation in IIOJK. They detailed the increase in violence and human rights abuses following India’s actions on August 5, 2019, and condemned the severe state-sponsored terrorism by Indian forces.

Noon reassured the delegation of Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people, both morally and diplomatically, and affirmed the Committee’s commitment to highlight the issue globally.
The Hurriyat delegation, comprising Advocate Parvez Ahmed, Ms. Shamim Shwal, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Chaudhry Shaheen, Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, and Abdul Hamid Lone, expressed their gratitude for Noon’s support and discussed ways to enhance the Committee’s influence in international platforms, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
