APHC-AJK briefed by delegation participated in UNHRC session in Geneva

Islamabad, April 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): The All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK chapter leaders were briefed at a meeting in Islamabad by the APHC-AJK delegation, which represented the Kashmiri people in the recently concluded 52nd regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva and side-line meetings with the delegation of Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The meeting was chaired by APHC AJK convener Mehmood Ahmed Saghar.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi and Altaf Hussain Wani briefed the members of APHC. Safi on the occasion said the recent statements on Kashmir by Pakistani leadership makes it unambiguously clear that Pakistan will continue to support the just struggle of Kashmiris and will never leave Kashmiri brethren alone, come what may. He said that the Kashmir dispute must be settled as soon as possible in the interest of humanity, world peace and prosperity of the region. Negation of Kashmiris right to self-determination will only be a recipe for misery and disaster.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi said, the Two-Nation Theory, which was the basis of the Partition Plan is still valid for the peaceful and durable solution of the Kashmir dispute. The delegation head Altaf Hussain Wani hailed the role of United Nations Special Rapporteurs and other embassies for highlighting gross human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Wani condemned the use of force by Indian government against unarmed civilians in IIOJK. APHC AJK Convener Mehmmood Ahmed Saghar praised Altaf Wani and his team members Syed Faiz Naqasbandi, Adv. Parvaiz Ahmed, Hassan ul Bana and Miss Shameema Shawl for presenting the case of Kashmir internationally.
