Islamabad: The All Parties Conference (APC) has issued a strong demand for an immediate, unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, calling for an end to the Israeli-led brutalities against the Palestinian people. The APC also urged for the lifting of the siege of Gaza and the provision of unimpeded humanitarian and medical aid. Moreover, the conference emphasized the need for holding Israel accountable for its alleged violations of international law, including war crimes and acts of genocide.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the declaration adopted by the APC in Islamabad highlighted several critical issues and actions. The forum called upon the international community to take urgent measures to prevent further Israeli aggression in the region, including any potential actions against Lebanon and other regional countries.
The APC condemned the ongoing oppression by Israel and declared its full support for the political and diplomatic efforts being undertaken by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the League of Arab States, the United Nations, and other involved countries towards addressing the situation in Occupied Palestine and ensuring the peace and stability of the broader region.
Furthermore, the conference urged the OIC to convene an Emergency Summit to deliberate on the Palestinian situation, the regional implications of Israel’s actions, and the necessary steps to unite the Islamic Ummah in this cause. The APC also expressed support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees, acknowledging its role in providing relief to the Palestinian people.
The declaration reasserted Pakistan’s commitment to intensify its political, diplomatic, moral, and humanitarian support for Palestine. The APC also reiterated its support for the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. It also backed full UN membership for the State of Palestine.
In addition to its focus on Palestine, the APC voiced its support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and called for a resolution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in line with the UN resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
The APC has decided to mark 29 November 2024 as a Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People to show continued support and solidarity.
