Srinagar, May 25, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, people held massive anti-India demonstrations Srinagar, today, against the conviction of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, by a Delhi court in fabricated cases registered against him.

People in large numbers are thronging Yasin Malik’s house in Maisuma area of Srinagar, despite heavy deployment of Indian troops and police in the area to express solidarity with his mother and sister. Family members and neighbours, mostly women, staged a demonstration outside the residence of Yasin Malik. Massive demonstrations were also held in the adjoining areas.

The protesters denounced the victimization of JKLF Chairman by Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian government. They raised high-pitched slogans in favour of Yasin Malik and freedom. Indian police resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes. Meanwhile, Indian police pressed drones into service to keep a close vigil in the area.
