Muzaffarabad, Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir organized an anti-India and anti-Israel rally and sit-in protest, today, in Athmuqam, the main town of Neelum district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally and sit-in were part of the “Free Palestine, free Kashmir campaign” launched, today, by Pasban-e-Hurriyat against the Israeli occupation of Palestine and Indian military occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. The campaign aims at raising public voice against Israeli aggression on Gaza and Indian terrorism in occupied Kashmir.

A large number of people participated in the rally and sit-in. They marched on the main highway carrying the flags of Pakistan, Palestine and Kashmir. They were raising loud slogans against Israel India.

The protesters also carried banners with slogans in favor of freedom for Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir. The rally was led by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim, Malik Sharafat Hussain, Inayat Ali Qasmi Advocate, Syed Ashfaq Bukhari, Muhammad Ilyas Butt and other leaders.

Addressing the rally, the speakers support the demand for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and freedom of Kashmir from Indian occupation through. They said, the people of Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir want complete freedom from the illegal occupation of Israel and India.

They said both Israel and India are carrying out systematic genocide of citizens in the occupied Muslim areas. They said the establishment of lasting peace in the world is linked to the resolution of the disputes of Palestine and Kashmir, adding that the United Nations should fulfill its commitments to both regions.

They said Israel’s bombing of Gaza’s innocent citizens, children, women, and the elderly, and the genocide of Muslims are a challenge to justice-loving countries, organizations and forums of the world.

The participants of the rally marched from Bantal Shuhada Chowk to the bus stand.
