New Delhi, February 06, 2023 (PPI-OT):People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti has said that the so-called anti-encroachment drive launched by authorities in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir is being used as a weapon to suppress the Kashmiri people. Mehbooba Mufti addressing a news conference in New Delhi, today, further said that the drive was aimed at taking the shelters away from the people and the situation in Kashmir had been turned worse than Afghanistan.
While responding to a query, she said that the elections cannot be a solution to the Kashmir dispute. She said that the Modi-led Indian government was trying to divert attention from the main issues, restoration of Article 370, Statehood and other things, adding, “We want a complete solution to the Kashmir issue.”
