Srinagar: The educational and Islamic community of Anjuman Nusrat-ul-Islam, under the leadership of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, is mourning the death of Abdul Rehman Latoo, a renowned educationist from Ashajipora, Bijbehara, in the Islamabad district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Latoo, celebrated for his lifelong dedication to education, played a pivotal role in local Islamic educational institutions.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Latoo was a prominent figure at the Islamic School Bijbehara and the Nusrat-ul-Islam Trust Ashajipora. His commitment to education was deeply influenced by his longstanding familial connection to the Mirwaiz family, which spans several centuries.
The Anjuman’s condolence message underlined the profound impact of Latoo’s efforts on the community and education in the area. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and other members of the Anjuman have recognized his passing as a significant loss, extending their prayers for his eternal peace and offering condolences to his family during this difficult time.
In a show of respect and solidarity, Nazir Ahmad Sofi, a central official of the Nusrat-ul-Islam Trust, led a delegation that attended the funeral prayers at Latoo’s residence in Mominabad Ashajipora, conveying personal messages of condolence from Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
Furthermore, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also expressed his condolences for the passing of Sanaullah from Gotli Bagh, Ganderbal, extending his sympathies to the bereaved family and praying for their solace and the departed’s peace.
